LET US DO GOOD

Built on Courage, Driven by Gratitude

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation, inspired by the selfless heroism of firefighter Stephen Siller, provides mortgage-free homes to Gold Star families, fallen first responders, and catastrophically injured veterans. Through impactful programs like the SMART Home Program, Gold Star Family Home Program, and Veteran Villages, they offer stability, independence, and hope to those who have sacrificed so much for our safety and freedom.

Honoring Heroes with Homes

A home should be a place of comfort and security, especially for those who’ve endured unimaginable sacrifices. The SMART Home Program creates fully customized, mortgage-free homes equipped with advanced features like automated doors, wheelchair-accessible showers, adjustable cabinets, and tablet-controlled systems. These state-of-the-art designs ensure that injured veterans and first responders can live with dignity, independence, and ease.

Stephen’s Story

Stephen Gerard Siller, the youngest of seven, faced profound challenges early in life, losing both parents by the age of ten. With the unwavering support of his siblings, he grew into a devoted husband, father of five, and a courageous firefighter with Brooklyn’s Squad 1. On September 11, 2001, after completing his shift, Stephen ran through the closed Brooklyn Battery Tunnel with 60 pounds of gear to reach the Twin Towers, where he made the ultimate sacrifice to save others. Guided by the words of St. Francis of Assisi, “While we have time, let us do good,” Stephen’s life and heroism inspire us to act with kindness, courage, and purpose.
